We are the home of harness racing in Victoria.
We are a seven day a week entertainment venue with a range of racing and non-racing offerings including dining facilities, large function & conference rooms, 41 room four-star hotel, busy gaming lounge and sports bar & TAB.

THE OPPORTUNITY
You will work closely with the Bistro Manager to ensure the smooth running of a busy bistro, café and lounge. Responsibilities:
People Management
- Lead by example and support all Food & Beverage staff to conduct their day-to-day duties in a competent, friendly and efficient manner
- Communicate Tabcorp Park policies, strategies, and goals to Food & Beverage Team
- Promote teamwork, personal presentation & image in line with Dress Code & Uniform Requirements
- Implement staff training, to ensure Bistro Food & Beverage staff are aware of Tabcorp park procedures and customer service standards
- Provide formal feedback on performance – complete annual performance reviews
- Identification of staff training needs and to formulate training and development plans
- Recognise and commend good performance / results
- Identify unacceptable performance and carry out improvement plan in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Perform any ‘duty of care’ requirements for staff
Customer Service Management
- Practice and demonstrate Tabcorp Park Customer Service Standards; train and lead staff to ensure customer standards are met
- Monitor level of customer service and in conjunction with senior management, recommend and implement training as required
- Respond to guest concerns and take responsibility for resolving issues
Operations Management
- Review resources to meet guest needs, set work standards and allocate priorities in the absence of the Bistro Manager
- Ensure compliance to all Tabcorp Park values, policies, and procedures such as OH&S, food and hygiene standards, professional venue presentation, cash control etc.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in work processes and procedures and implement changes in workplace practices
- Actively promote Tabcorp Park’s facilities and contribute to the development of new promotional activities for the venue to maximise revenues
- Maintain Time Target on a daily basis checking that staff shifts are accurate
- Manage self to optimum level attending training courses that fulfil development plan
Communication
- Prepare and send a daily hand over and communicate any concerns to the Bistro Manager
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- RSA
- Food Handlers Certificate
- First Aid & CPR (optional)
- Victorian Drivers Licence
- Previous experience in a hospitality / tourism industry
- Previous supervisor experience in a multi-faceted hospitality venue
- Ability to work a rotating roster including some nights and weekends
